2018 Yoga Retreat - Salen, Ardnamurchen Peninsular, Scotland

Our 5th visit to Scotland for another special Yoga Retreat. There is something about this coastal area that adds to the magnificent energy of our week sharing and practicing Yoga.

Scotland in early Autumn can be such a magical place. Here sitting within the pretty village of Salen on the Loch shore along the Ardnamurchan peninsula, is our venue which commands amazing views across the water and the hills beyond. It also has access to the loch from two private beaches.

As well as Yoga practice in 2 daily classes you will also get the opportunity to learn so much more, from workshops, meditations and of course from talking with like minded people who care for and live with the practice of Yoga. The Classes

If you choose to do all the classes this will help you truly feel the transformation a regular practice can bring. However if two classes each day is not for you then choose to come to either the morning or afternoon class, or just join in the meditation sessions.

The Yoga

One class will be an uplifting 1.5 hours Hatha Flow Yoga practice. This session will combine a sequence of Pranayama (breath work), Surya Namaskar (sun salutations), Asana (postures) and relaxation to lead you into the day feeling energised, refreshed and connected. The will be a fixed routine so that you can learn it and take the practice away with you to continue after the retreat, at home.

The other class will combine styles from Hatha, Yin or Kundalini Yoga and will consolidate elements we learn through the workshops.

A daily meditation session and pranayama techniques will help you to embrace the more subtle elements of Yoga. A few days offer an afternoon workshop to develop learning/undertstanding in a specific area of Yoga.

The Food

All meals in the house are included in the price*. A well balanced nutritious breakfast, a light lunch and wholesome evening meal. Non alcoholic drinks provided are also inclusive. All cooking is vegetarian, if you are a vegan or have any food allergies please let me know in advance.

*Two evening meals not provided so that you can explore the local restaurants, lunches are included if you are in when it’s served, otherwise you will be expected to get your own lunch out.


The Accommodation

This is a house which has wow factor in spades! You can relax in its elegant furnishings, underfloor heating (plus wood-burning stove), enormous open plan living area and plenty of comfortable seating. Our Yoga space has three walls being made entirely of glass so it feels as though you are surrounded by the beautiful loch while you practise. The patio doors that lead out to a large covered seating area and deck which we can hopefully make use of!

There are only 2 double and 2 twin bedrooms - all eqully enchanting, book early to reserve your space.

The Price

Prices are INCLUSIVE of all classes, workshops, accommodation and meals as detailed above.

£700 per person (king or twin bedrooms) all with shared bathroom. Single occupancy £995.
